How My Career Evolved
It all started with a teaser graphic for a book.
Freelance Graphic & Web Design
My first graphic design projects came from authors who wanted me to showcase their work. I created teaser graphics, book covers, and promotional materials.
Digital Marketing & PR
In 2017, I started working for an educational company that was running digital marketing campaigns on Twitter, email newsletters, and a WordPress blog. In 2019, I took a digital marketing and PR position that allowed me to do everything I was doing before, plus facilitating press interviews, writing press releases, and assisting with event planning.
UI/UX Design & Web Development
In 2020, I started experimenting with Figma to design a new user experience for a company I was working with. I enjoyed it so much, I experimented with app design and prototypes as well. Eventually, this led to me getting into front-end development.
Web Development
After working on various websites, I realized I really enjoyed web development. I decided to take my career options up a notch with HTML and CSS certifications.
